Ja, das habe ich auch für den neuen account gemacht, alle drei Einstellungen probiert, und FF neu gestartet. Ohne Erfolg. Synaptics Treiber ist neuester Stand, ebenso neu installiert (aber der Fehler taucht eh nur bei FF auf).
Habe auch auf FF8 upgedated.
Was bleibt denn jetzt noch???

Sorry, hat was gedauert - hatte viel zu tun.
Neuer "sauberer Account" ist erstellt, Apps sind keine drin, Hardwarebeschleunigung und Plugins habe ich alle deaktiviert.
Fehler ist der gleiche geblieben.

Nachdem im abgesicherten Modus (alle Add-ons deaktiviert) keine Änderung eintrat, sind die Add-ons doch aus dem Spiel, oder?
Plugins sind nur Acrobat Reader, Flash, Quicktime, Shockwave, alle auf dem neuesten Stand.

danke für den Tipp, alles präzise so versucht, leider erfolglos. Auch neue Installation des Synaptics-Treibers brachte nichts. Fehler betrifft nur FF, denn im IE und im Acrobat PDF Reader geht alles.

Nein, deaktivierte Add-ons bringen gar nichts (wäre ja auch zu einfach gewesen).
Noch `ne Idee? -
Vermutlich seit FF 7.01 geht scrollen mit dem Touchpad nicht mehr. An den Win7-Einstellungen kann es nicht liegen, denn Scrollen klappt bei IE mit demTouchpad, und immer auch mit dem Maus-Rad. Mit Touchpad im FF wird jeweils der kleine Balken für vertikales oder horizontales Scrollen angezeigt, aber das wars dann schon.
