leider bräuchte ich nach dem aktuellen Update wieder einmal Hilfe beim Code der Sidebar, da sich nun eine 2. Scroll-Leiste eingeschlichen hat.

Auch wenn mein Problem zufriedenstellend gelöst wurde würde ich doch gerne wissen, weshalb nach jeder neuen Firefox Version die chrome.css angepasst werden muss. Gibt es dafür einen plausiblen Grund?

Ja, es gibt dafür einen plausiblen Grund: Nämlich, dass du die Oberfläche deines Browsers verbiegst. Was sich intern im Rahmen der Weiterentwicklung von Firefox verändert, hat für schätzungsweise 99,999 Prozent der Nutzer keinerlei Auswirkungen. Wer undokumentierte Interna angreift, muss immer damit rechnen, dass nachgebessert werden muss. Dass Mozilla darauf Rücksicht nimmt, wäre nicht nur aus Ressourcen-Sicht nicht umsetzbar, sondern ist technisch auch gar nicht möglich. Schließlich kannst du über Scripts und userChrome.css wirklich alles verändern und die Entwicklung müsste schon komplett gestoppt werden, wenn sich nichts ändern soll. Aber natürlich hat jede Änderung an Firefox, welche die Oberfläche in irgendeiner Form betrifft, potentiell Auswirkungen auf irgendwelche inoffiziellen Anpassungen irgendwelcher Nutzer.
