Grafikprogramm für Windows gesucht!

    Hallo zusammen,

    ich installiere gerade für Bekannte ein relativ antikes Notebook (Celeron 366, 64 MB RAM, Windows 98 ) und suche eine Grafikbearbeitungssoftware, die mit so beschränkten Systemressourcen einigermaßen zurechkommt.

    Muss nichts großartiges können, aber auf deutsch erhältlich sein. Eventuell reicht da auch schon ein besserer Viewer, aber ich kenn mich da halt null aus.

    Ideen?
    (Ach ja, Freeware bzw. Open Source sollte es sein.)

    GIMP braucht zuviel Arbeitsspeicher (mindestens 128 MB laut Webseite) und IrfanView überzeugt mich nicht so sehr - es ist halt doch eher zum viewen als zum bearbeiten...

    Hat noch jemand Vorschläge?

    gimp kommt für diesen Zweck trotzdem einfach nicht in Frage.
    Hätte ich wohl gleich ins erste Posting schreiben sollen, um Diskussionen vorzubeugen.

    Wozu es benötigt wird kann ich nicht sagen, da es nicht für mich ist.
    Aber ein paar mehr unterstützte Bildformate als bei MS Paint wären schon nett ;)

    Also Paint.NET wurde mir schon empfohlen, das fällt aber aus, weil es soviel ich weiß .NET nicht für Windows 98 gibt.

    Ich hab mich am Ende für http://www.artweaver.de entschieden. Erfreulicherweise habe ich die System Requirements erst nach dem Installieren entdeckt, denn es läuft trotzdem ganz gut.
