    Mach mal folgendes:

    Internet explorer starten, dann
    ActieveX aktivieren

    nach erfolgtem windowsupdate wieder zurück

    Der Link ist nichts anderes als der vorhandene WindowsUpdate link im Startmenü!
    Du musst für die Updateseite im IE ActiveX zulassen.

    Habe die 2 Adressen eingegeben, genau wie Du geschrieben hast. Fordert aber "https://", sonst übernimmt er mir die Seiten nicht.

    Und wenn ich auf "http://www.windowsupdate.com gehe, kommt folgende Antwort:

    Du musst mit dem IE auf die seite gehen sonst klappt es nicht.
    Microsoft läßt nur den IE für die Updateseite zu!

    Ich schätze das so ein, dass Deine PC-Kenntnisse nicht so sehr tiefgehend sind (ist nicht böse gemeint). Dann würde ich Dir sehr empfehlen, die Windows-Updates automatisch ausführen zu lassen. Das kannst Du über Systemsteuerung / Sicherheitscenter sehr einfach einstellen.

    Bei dieser Vorgehensweise musst Du weder den IE noch Fx für die Updates bemühen.

    Wenn Du dies allerdings nicht willst: Benutze den IE für die Updates. Er muss dafür nicht Standardbrowser sein. Die weiter oben genannten Seiten müssen im IE als vertrauenswürdige Seiten eingetragen sein.

    Habe alles so eingegen, wie Ihr gesagt habt. Komme nun in die Windows-Update-Seite hinein. Ist ja schon mal ein Erfolgserlebnis :D
    Kommt aber nun folgende Seite:

    Dann aktiviere mal bitte für die Vertrauenwürdigen Seiten unten "Standardstufe".
    Dann sollte es eigentlich gehen!

    Hi,

    für Windows Updates muss der IE nicht als Standardbrowser definiert sein.

    Du musst ihn einfach nur starten - egal ob alleine oder in einem IETab im Firefox.

    Da der IE integraler Bestandteil von Windows ist, kann dieser auch nicht (jedenfalls nicht einfach) wirklich deinstalliert werden, sondern wird über die zugänglichen Optionen (Windowskomponenten installieren/entfernen) nur von der Oberfläche verbannt - aber mehr auch nicht.
    Über Programme - Zubehör ist er immer noch erreichbar und weiterhin in seinem Verzeichnis audfrufbar.
